The Way of Our Youth

Deuteronomy 28:41 You shall beget sons and daughters, but they shall not be yours; for they shall go into captivity.

We want to feel we have been brought out of the worldly ways of raising our children in sending them off to public schools to waste their time and fill them with the world’s ideas. We have given back to God in the designing of our families. Seeing our children walk away from this training and jump back into the world seems as if they are going into captivity. In their eyes, they are gaining freedom by heading back into the world. From our vantage point, they are giving in to the box of the modern world.

The World
Our View

Wear these clothes because they are the fad – even if they do not make you look better.
God gave us clothes for a reason. God set guidelines for those clothes. Follow God’s guidelines and dress to allow yourself to be seen at your best – as a child of the King.
You would be missing out on what everyone else has if you do not go to public school.
God gave me these children to raise for Him and sending them off to ungodly training for 7 hours a day is not how He would have us raise them.
Two parents cannot give enough love and attention to more than two, or three at most, children. Besides the world in too crowded.
God knows what is best. God knows how many people are in this world at any given moment. He knows what our future holds. Let’s turn family size over to the One who knows better than we do.

Psalm 128:1-4 says Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways. When you eat the labor of your hands, you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you. Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the very heart of your house, your children like olive plants all around your table. Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the Lord.

Psalm 127:3-5 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward, like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

Proverbs 17:6 Children’s children are the crown of old men, and the glory of children is their father.

Why is it that children cannot wait to get away from their father? I wonder that it is because of the sin in the world. If sin, then why would young people who claim Jesus as their Lord and Savior not behave in such a manner as to be a glory to their father and allow their father to be so to them.
